Jam 3:1 μη πολλοι διδασκαλοι γινεσθε αδελφοι μου ειδοτες ὁτι μειζον κριμα ληψομεθα STR

1 My brothers must you actually be developing citizen-teachers? On having perceived that we shall be grasping a greater crime. CAS

1 O my brothers you must (becoming not) many teachers on having seen that we shall be receiving a greater judgement CAV

1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.KJV


Jam 3:2 πολλα γαρ πταιομεν ἁπαντες ει τις εν λογω ου πταιει οὑτος τελειος ανηρ δυνατος χαλιναγωγησαι και ὁλον το σωμα STR

2 For citizens, we are all falling, if anyone is not falling in statement this one - a perfect man and powerful to bridle the whole body. CAS

2 because we are offending many everyone if anyone is (offending not) in word this (is) a perfect man and one able to bridle the whole body CAV

2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same [(is)] a perfect man, [(and)] able also to bridle the whole body.KJV


Jam 3:3 ιδου των ἱππων τους χαλινους εις τα στοματα βαλλομεν προς το πειθεσθαι αυτους ἡμιν και ὁλον το σωμα αυτων μεταγομεν STR

3 You must be considering, we are throwing bridles into the mouths of horses towards them being persuaded with us and we are leading their whole body. CAS

3 you must be beholding we are throwing bits into the mouths of horses towards them being persuaded with us and we are turning about their whole body CAV

3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.KJV


Jam 3:4 ιδου και τα πλοια τηλικαυτα οντα και ὑπο σκληρων ανεμων ελαυνομενα μεταγεται ὑπο ελαχιστου πηδαλιου ὁπου αν ἡ ὁρμη του ευθυνοντος βουληται STR

4 And You must be considering, the ships, ones being so great and being driven by hard winds are being lead under a very small rudder where ever the pilot of the movement should be counselling. CAS

4 and you must be beholding the ships on being great and ones being driven is being turned about under hard winds by (a very small helm) where ever the one governing assaults he should be advising CAV

4 Behold also the ships, which though [(they be)] so great, and [(are)] driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor lists.KJV


Jam 3:5 οὑτως και ἡ γλωσσα μικρον μελος εστιν και μεγαλαυχει ιδου ολιγον πυρ ἡλικην ὑλην αναπτει STR

5 And thus the tongue is a little member and is bragging greatly you must be considering, a small fire attaches to an aged woodland CAS

5 and thus the tongue is a little member and it is boasting greatly you must be beholding a small fire is kindling a great matter CAV

5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles!KJV


Jam 3:6 και ἡ γλωσσα πυρ ὁ κοσμος της αδικιας οὑτως ἡ γλωσσα καθισταται εν τοις μελεσιν ἡμων ἡ σπιλουσα ὁλον το σωμα και φλογιζουσα τον τροχον της γενεσεως και φλογιζομενη ὑπο της γεεννης STR

6 And the fiery tongue - the cosmos of injustice. Thus the tongue is among our limbs circling the whole body and burning the wheel of genesis and is being flamed by Gehenna. CAS

6 and the fire tongue the injustice of the world so the tongue he is being made among our members the one defiling the whole body and one firing the course the generation and one being fired by hell CAV

Jam 3:7 πασα γαρ φυσις θηριων τε και πετεινων ἑρπετων τε και εναλιων δαμαζεται και δεδαμασται τη φυσει τη ανθρωπινη STR

7 For every physical wild-animal and fliers, creepers and marine(thing) is being domesticated and has been domesticated with the physical for the human. CAS

7 Because all nature of wild beasts and of birds of serpents and of (the) sea are being tamed and has been tamed to the nature for man CAV

7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:KJV


Jam 3:8 την δε γλωσσαν ουδεις δυναται ανθρωπων δαμασαι ακατασχετον κακον μεστη ιου θανατηφορου STR

8 Now, do not consider men are powerful to domesticate the tongue; an unopposed-split, evil, laden by deadly venom. CAS

8 now the tongue of men, no one is able to tame, an unruly evil full of deadly poison CAV

8 But the tongue can no man tame; [(it is)] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.KJV


Jam 3:9 εν αυτη ευλογουμεν τον θεον και πατερα και εν αυτη καταρωμεθα τους ανθρωπους τους καθ ὁμοιωσιν θεου γεγονοτας STR

9 Within it, we are blessing God and Father, and within it we are cursing against the men, the ones having developed according to a likeness of God. CAS

9 within it we are blessing God and father and within it we are cursing men the ones having became according to a similitude of God CAV

9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.KJV


Jam 3:10 εκ του αυτου στοματος εξερχεται ευλογια και καταρα ου χρη αδελφοι μου ταυτα οὑτως γινεσθαι STR

10 Out of his mouth is coming blessing and cursing. My brothers, this must not be developing thus. CAS

10 out of his mouth is going blessing and curse my brothers this ought not to be becoming thus CAV

10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.KJV


Jam 3:11 μητι ἡ πηγη εκ της αυτης οπης βρυει το γλυκυ και το πικρον STR

11 What actually is the stream bubbling out of its opening, sweet and bitter? CAS

11 No fountain he is sending out of its cave sweet and bitter CAV

11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet [(water)] and bitter?KJV


Jam 3:12 μη δυναται αδελφοι μου συκη ελαιας ποιησαι η αμπελος συκα οὑτως ουδεμια πηγη ἁλυκον και γλυκυ ποιησαι ὑδωρ STR

12 My brothers is a fig-tree actually powerful to produce olives, or a grape-vine figs? Thus do not consider a stream to produce salt water and sweet. CAS

12 O my brothers (a fig tree (not is) able to make olives or a vine figs Thus no fountain makes salt and sweet water CAV

12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so [(can)] no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.KJV


Jam 3:13 τις σοφος και επιστημων εν ὑμιν δειξατω εκ της καλης αναστροφης τα εργα αυτου εν πραϋτητι σοφιας STR

13 Anyone wise and prudent among you, he must prove out of his ideal continuously turning energy within the meekness of wisdom CAS

13 anyone wise and endue with knowledge among you he must show out of a good conversation his works in meekness of wisdom CAV

13 Who [(is)] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.KJV


Jam 3:14 ει δε ζηλον πικρον εχετε και εριθειαν εν τη καρδια ὑμων μη κατακαυχασθε και ψευδεσθε κατα της αληθειας STR

14 Now if you are possessing bitter jealousy and wage-disputes(corruption) within your heart, must you actually be boasting against, and lying against the truth? CAS

14 now if you are having bitter zeal and strife in your heart (not you must) be boasting against and lying against the truth CAV

14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.KJV


Jam 3:15 ουκ εστιν αὑτη ἡ σοφια ανωθεν κατερχομενη αλλ επιγειος ψυχικη δαιμονιωδης STR

15 This wisdom is not descending from above, on the other hand, earthly soulish, demonic. CAS

15 this wisdom is not coming down (from) above nevertheless earthly natural devilish CAV

15 This wisdom descends not from above, but [(is)] earthly, sensual, devilish.KJV


Jam 3:16 ὁπου γαρ ζηλος και εριθεια εκει ακαταστασια και παν φαυλον πραγμα STR

16 For where - jealousy and wage-disputes(corruption) there - instability and every cheap practise. CAS

16 Because where zeal and strife (are) there (is) confusion and every evil business CAV

16 For where envying and strife [(is)], there [(is)] confusion and every evil work.KJV


Jam 3:17 ἡ δε ανωθεν σοφια πρωτον μεν ἁγνη εστιν επειτα ειρηνικη επιεικης ευπειθης μεστη ελεους και καρπων αγαθων αδιακριτος και ανυποκριτος STR

17 But the wisdom from above is first actually pure ,thereafter peaceful, on plan, well-convinced, laden within mercy and good fruit, not through criticism and not under criticism. CAS

17 Now the wisdom above is first truly pure then peaceable gentle easily persuaded full of mercy and of good fruits impartiality and without hypocrisy CAV

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [(and)] easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.KJV


Jam 3:18 καρπος δε της δικαιοσυνης εν ειρηνη σπειρεται τοις ποιουσιν ειρηνην STR

18 Now the fruit of justice, is being sown within peace, for ones producing peace. CAS

18 now the fruit of justice it is being sown in to peace with the ones doing peace CAV

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.KJV
