Jam 2:1 αδελφοι μου μη εν προσωποληψιαις εχετε την πιστιν του κυριου ἡμων ιησου χριστου της δοξης STR

1 My brothers must you actually be possessing the confidence of Jesus Christ, our proprietor of reputation (fame, glory) within face-taking? CAS

1 (my o brothers) (you must be having not) the faith of our Lord of glory Jesus Christ in to persons CAV

1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the [(Lord)] of glory, with respect of persons.KJV


Jam 2:2 εαν γαρ εισελθη εις την συναγωγην ὑμων ανηρ χρυσοδακτυλιος εν εσθητι λαμπρα εισελθη δε και πτωχος εν ῥυπαρα εσθητι STR

2 For if-ever a man should be allowed into your assemblies in a gold ring and shiny clothing but a poor one should be allowed in dirty clothing. CAS

2 because if ever a man should be entering into your assembly in a gold ring with bright clothing and now a poor one in vile clothing should be entering CAV

2 For if there come to your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;KJV


Jam 2:3 και επιβλεψητε επι τον φορουντα την εσθητα την λαμπραν και ειπητε αυτω συ καθου ὡδε καλως και τω πτωχω ειπητε συ στηθι εκει η καθου ὡδε ὑπο το ὑποποδιον μου STR

3 And you should be looking upon the one conveying the shiny clothing and should be insisting to him you must be sitting here beautifully, and should be insisting to the poor one you must be standing there, or you must be sitting here under my footstool: CAS

3 And you should be looking upon the one wearing the bright clothing and you should be saying to him you must be sitting here well and you should be saying to the poor one you must standing there or you must be sitting here by my footstool CAV

3 And you have respect to him that wears the gay clothing, and say to him, Sit you here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand you there, or sit here under my footstool:KJV


Jam 2:4 και ου διεκριθητε εν ἑαυτοις και εγενεσθε κριται διαλογισμων πονηρων STR

4 And were you not thoroughly separated within yourselves and became critics of wicked divisive statements/reasonings? CAS

4 and (not you were judged) in yourselves and you became judges of evil of thoughts CAV

4 Are you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?KJV


Jam 2:5 ακουσατε αδελφοι μου αγαπητοι ουχ ὁ θεος εξελεξατο τους πτωχους του κοσμου τουτου πλουσιους εν πιστει και κληρονομους της βασιλειας ἡς επηγγειλατο τοις αγαπωσιν αυτον STR

5 My beloved brothers you must hear, chooses God not the poor ones of this cosmos, ones rich in confidence and heirs of the kingdom which he promises to the ones loving him? CAS

5 (my beloved o brothers) you must hear God chooses the poor this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he promises to the ones loving him CAV

5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?KJV


Jam 2:6 ὑμεις δε ητιμασατε τον πτωχον ουχ οἱ πλουσιοι καταδυναστευουσιν ὑμων και αυτοι ἑλκουσιν ὑμας εις κριτηρια STR

6 But you devalue the poor-ones. The rich ones are they not powering against you and they are wounding you in criticisms? CAS

6 now you dishonour the poor rich are they not oppressing you and are drawing you into judgement? CAV

6 But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgement seats?KJV


Jam 2:7 ουκ αυτοι βλασφημουσιν το καλον ονομα το επικληθεν εφ ὑμας STR

7 Are they not blaspheming the beautiful name of the one being called upon you? CAS

7 are they not blaspheming the good name, the one you (are) being called by? CAV

7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?KJV


Jam 2:8 ει μεντοι νομον τελειτε βασιλικον κατα την γραφην αγαπησεις τον πλησιον σου ὡς σεαυτον καλως ποιειτε STR

8 True-ones, if you are perfecting royal law according to the writing, “You shall be loving your neighbour as yourself,” you are doing beautifully: CAS

8 howbeit if you are finishing a royal law according to the scripture you shall be loving your neighbour as yourself you are doing well CAV

8 If you fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, You shalt love your neighbour as thyself, you do well:KJV


Jam 2:9 ει δε προσωποληπτειτε ἁμαρτιαν εργαζεσθε ελεγχομενοι ὑπο του νομου ὡς παραβαται STR

9 But if you are face-taking, you are labouring in offence, being disgraced under the law as side-steppers. CAS

9 now if you are respecting person you are working an offence ones being rebuked under the law as transgressors CAV

9 But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.KJV


Jam 2:10 ὁστις γαρ ὁλον τον νομον τηρησει πταισει δε εν ἑνι γεγονεν παντων ενοχος STR

10 For anyone who shall be preserving the whole law, but shall be falling in one, he has developed a guilt of all. CAS

10 because whosoever shall be keeping the whole now he shall be offending in one law he has came of all danger CAV

10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [(point)], he is guilty of all.KJV


Jam 2:11 ὁ γαρ ειπων μη μοιχευσης ειπεν και μη φονευσης ει δε ου μοιχευσεις φονευσεις δε γεγονας παραβατης νομου STR

11 For the one insisting should you be actually adultering, it also insists, should you be actually killing? But, if you shall not be adultering but you shall be killing, you have developed (into), a side stepper of a law. CAS

11 because the one saying you should not be adulterying also said you should not be killing. now if you shall not be adulterying, yet, you shall be killing, you have became a transgressor of a law. CAV

11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you art become a transgressor of the law.KJV


Jam 2:12 οὑτως λαλειτε και οὑτως ποιειτε ὡς δια νομου ελευθεριας μελλοντες κρινεσθαι STR

12 Thus you must be talking, and thus you must be producing, as ones about to be separated through a law of liberty. CAS

12 thus you must be speaking and thus you must be doing as should (the) ones to be judged through [the] law of liberty CAV

12 So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.KJV


Jam 2:13 ἡ γαρ κρισις ανιλεως τω μη ποιησαντι ελεος και κατακαυχαται ελεος κρισεως STR

13 For the unmerciful one, crisis to the one producing no mercy; and mercy is boasting against crisis. CAS

13 because the on doing judgement not mercy with mercy and mercy boast against judgement CAV

13 For he shall have judgement without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgement.KJV


Jam 2:14 τι το οφελος αδελφοι μου εαν πιστιν λεγη τις εχειν εργα δε μη εχη μη δυναται ἡ πιστις σωσαι αυτον STR

14 My brothers what (is) the benefit if ever anyone should be stating to be possessing confidence, but should he be possessing actual energies? Is the confidence actually powerful to save him? CAS

14 O my brothers What's the profit if ever anyone should be saying to be having faith yet he should not be having works, is faith not able to save him? CAV

14 What [(doth it)] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?KJV


Jam 2:15 εαν δε αδελφος η αδελφη γυμνοι ὑπαρχωσιν και λειπομενοι ωσιν της εφημερου τροφης STR

15 But if ever a brother or a sister they should be exemplifying nakedness and they should be lacking the daily nourishment CAS

15 now if ever a naked brother or sister and they should be wanting daily food CAV

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,KJV


Jam 2:16 ειπη δε τις αυτοις εξ ὑμων ὑπαγετε εν ειρηνη θερμαινεσθε και χορταζεσθε μη δωτε δε αυτοις τα επιτηδεια του σωματος τι το οφελος STR

16 But (if) any among(out of) you should be insisting to them you must be going in peace, you must be warmed and must be fed; but should you actually be giving to them the necessities of the body? What is beneficial? CAS

16 now anyone of you should be saying to them you must be going away in peace, you must be warmed, and you must be satisfied. Then what (is) the profit, should you not be giving them the needs of the body? CAV

16 And one of you say to them, Depart in peace, be [(you)] warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [(doth it)] profit?KJV


Jam 2:17 οὑτως και ἡ πιστις εαν μη εργα εχη νεκρα εστιν καθ ἑαυτην STR

17 And thus should the confidence ever be possessing actual energies; is it dead opposing itself? CAS

17 And thus if ever faith should not be having works, it is dead according to itself? CAV

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.KJV


Jam 2:18 αλλ ερει τις συ πιστιν εχεις καγω εργα εχω δειξον μοι την πιστιν σου εκ των εργων σου καγω δειξω σοι εκ των εργων μου την πιστιν μου STR

18 On the other hand, (if) anyone (of) you are possessing confidence and I am possessing energies, you must prove to me your confidence out of your energies and I shall be proving to you my energies out of my confidence. CAS

18 nevertheless anyone shall be saying you are having faith, and I am having works, you must show me your faith by your works and I I shall be showing you my of works by my faith CAV

18 Yea, a man may say, You hast faith, and I have works: shew me your faith without your works, and I will shew you my faith by my works.KJV


Jam 2:19 συ πιστευεις ὁτι ὁ θεος εἱς εστιν καλως ποιεις και τα δαιμονια πιστευουσιν και φρισσουσιν STR

19 You are confiding that God is one/within, you are producing beautifully: and demons they are confiding, and are shivering. CAS

19 You are believing that it is one God you are doing well the devils also are believing and they are trembling CAV

19 You believes that there is one God; you doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.KJV


Jam 2:20 θελεις δε γνωναι ω ανθρωπε κενε ὁτι ἡ πιστις χωρις των εργων νεκρα εστιν STR

20 But are you willing to know O empty man that the confidence without the energies is dead? CAS

20 now are you willing to know O vain Man that faith without works is dead CAV

20 But wilt you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?KJV


Jam 2:21 αβρααμ ὁ πατηρ ἡμων ουκ εξ εργων εδικαιωθη ανενεγκας ισαακ τον υἱον αυτου επι το θυσιαστηριον STR

21 Was Abraham our father not justified out of energies, on carrying up Isaac his son upon the altar? CAS

21 our father Abraham (not out of works was justified) one offering Isaac his 10 son upon the altar CAV

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?KJV


Jam 2:22 βλεπεις ὁτι ἡ πιστις συνηργει τοις εργοις αυτου και εκ των εργων ἡ πιστις ετελειωθη STR

22 Are you seeing that the confidence worked together with his energies and out of the energies the confidence was perfected? CAS

22 you are seeing that faith he was working together with (works his) and by works faith was perfected CAV

22 Sees you how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?KJV


Jam 2:23 και επληρωθη ἡ γραφη ἡ λεγουσα επιστευσεν δε αβρααμ τω θεω και ελογισθη αυτω εις δικαιοσυνην και φιλος θεου εκληθη STR

23 And the writing was fulfilled the one stating, now Abraham he confides with God and it was stated to him for justice and he was called a friend by God. CAS

23 and the scripture was fulfilled the one saying yet Abraham he believes God and it was reasoned to him for justice and he was called a friend of God CAV

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which said, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.KJV


Jam 2:24 ὁρατε τοινυν ὁτι εξ εργων δικαιουται ανθρωπος και ουκ εκ πιστεως μονον STR

24 Are you viewing therefore that out of energies a man is being justified and not out of confidence only? CAS

24 now you must be seeing that a man is being justified by works and not by faith only CAV

24 You see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.KJV


Jam 2:25 ὁμοιως δε και ῥααβ ἡ πορνη ουκ εξ εργων εδικαιωθη ὑποδεξαμενη τους αγγελους και ἑτερα ὁδω εκβαλουσα STR

25 Now and likewise Rahab the prostitute, was she not justified out of energies on proving the angels and on throwing out a different chart? CAS

25 Now likewise also Rahab the harlot was she not justified by works on receiving the angels and on casting-out to another way CAV

25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent [(them)] out another way?KJV


Jam 2:26 ὡσπερ γαρ το σωμα χωρις πνευματος νεκρον εστιν οὑτως και ἡ πιστις χωρις των εργων νεκρα εστιν STR

26 For even as the body without a spirit is dead and thus confidence without the energies is dead. CAS

26 even so because the body without a spirit is dead and thus faith without works is dead CAV

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.KJV
